You don’t need to have all your qualifications when you apply. We’ll guide you through the process, letting you know exactly what you need for the position and how to obtain them.
We’re backing you to become a swimming instructor, and stick with State Swim. To help you get started, we’ll reimburse the upfront costs of gaining your qualifications, after six months of employment with us.

Job application and interview process, followed by employment if deemed a suitable fit for the team.
Your CPR Certificate, Working With Children Check (WWCC) and the Mandatory Notification Training are mandatory and must be completed before moving on to the next step.
This two-day course provides the skills and knowledge to help individuals teach water safety and survival lessons, as required by federal government standards.
You’ll gain practical experience by completing your training hours in our pool, under the guidance of one of our expert instructors.
Our online Staff Dashboard will guide you through the State Swim program which has been teaching thousands of kids to swim since 1976.
